ABOUT US

Who is KSA Youth Foundation 


KSA Youth Foundation is a 501 c 3 grassroots organization. Founded in 2005 by youth advocates and community service volunteers concerned for troubled and traumatized homeless youth. Our mission is to stem the tide of youth crime, homelessness, and unemployment.


For 15 years, KSA Youth Foundation staff have counseled, job trained and employed young adults and in 2015 established Sophia’s House. Sophia’s House is a supportive housing program rescuing sex-trafficked youth, ages 14 to 24, from the streets in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Our Programs


KSA Youth Foundation provides supportive transitional housing services to human trafficked youth and young adults that are seeking change thus a new life away from the streets. Sophia’s House programs provide food, clothing, counseling, shelter, jobs, and training.

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), 2013 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress:

        •The average age a teen becomes homeless is 14.7 years. Half of the homeless youth population is under the age of 18.

        •Human trafficking of youth is the fastest growing crime.

        •An estimated 100,000 children are sold into the sex trade within the US every year.
